I'm not sure what to call this: Salmon Patties Mistake

My mistake is trying to make salmon patties will be your new gem! Like I said I was trying to make salmon patties and I didn't include egg. I was already experimenting with adding mushrooms and green onions. So, here goes.

Ingredients:

1 can (if the small one, 2) salmon, boneless and skinless, drained (you may want to not drain it more moister meat)
1/2 package of mushrooms, sliced
2 green onions, cut
10 (approx.) crackers, crumbled
3-4 Tbsp olive oil (possibly a little more)
1 clove garlic, minced
1-2 Roma tomatoes, sliced
sliced fresh mozzarella

1. Heat oil and garlic on medium heat.

2. On the side mix salmon, mushrooms, green onions, cracker crumbs. Place in skillet once oil is hot.

3. Heat until you start seeing the crackers get golden. Flatten in pan.

4. Place sliced tomatoes on top, add slices of mozzarella on top of the tomatoes. Put lid on pan.

5. Heat until mozzarella is bubbling. You should be able to see golden through out the mixture as the crackers have cooked.

6. Serve with some kind of veggie such as roasted small red potatoes or some green veggie.

Enjoy!

Krab Alfredo

This is one of my favorite recipes for imitation crab.

Ingredients

1 lb imitation crab (I recommend the meat available in the meat counter)
1 clove fresh garlic, minced
a couple Tbsp olive oil
1 small box pasta (best with either liguni or angel hair)
1 bottle alfredo sauce
sliced mushrooms to taste
(optional) chopped peppers

1. In a skillet heat oil and garlic. Add meat and mushrooms and any peppers. Saute. I recommend, after the meat is cooked, taking it out of the pan and patting it with a paper towel.

2. In a large pot, heat water to a boil adding a little olive oil to the water. Cook pasta according to the package instructions as different pasta types cook differently.

3. Add sauce to meat and mushrooms and, on low heat, heat sauce until pasta is done.

4. Serve with garlic bread.

Enjoy

Krab Pizza

This blog is for all my interesting recipes I come up with in my boyfriend's kitchen. I have not seen them anywhere but with prior knowledge (such as seeing something made on TV to watching how my mom and grandma used ingredients in their kitchens) I mix and match ingredients and come up with some interesting dishes that even picky eaters will enjoy (for I'm picky).

Today's dish is Krab Pizza.

Ingredients:
about 1/2 lb of imitation crab meat per can of pizza dough
1 can of Pillsbury Pizza dough (or any ready made dough will work)
1 to 1 1/2 cups of store bought alfredo sauce
veggies of your liking (we used portabella mushrooms)
1 2 cup bag of mozzarella cheese
a minced clove of garlic
2-3 Tbsp of olive oil
Pam
garlic salt (I used garlic salt with pepper)

Prep:

1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and minced garlic. Add krab and mushrooms/veggies and heat until mushrooms/veggies are cooked through. Set aside.

2. Open the can of pizza dough onto cookie sheet or baking sheet and roll out per directions. Roll over edges to make a crust. You can add some of the cheese to the inside of this if you like for extra flavor.

3. Using a spoon or rubber spatula, put small amounts of the alfredo sauce onto the rolled out dough and spread out until all the dough is evenly covered. Do not make it too thick.

4. Sprinkle a thin layer of cheese over the sauce.

5. Sprinkle krab/veggie/mushrooms on pizza.

6. Sprinkle a little more cheese over the pizza.

7. Gently sprinkle the garlic salt over the crust you made on the edges.

8. Bake per directions on the packaging.

My boyfriend put poblano peppers on his half of the pizza and loved it immensely.

I hope you try it and enjoy. Let me know if you did!
